Going to be about the equivalent of MKXL?
It's certainly been an interesting week in the realm of Mortal Kombat 11 news, as an official email for the game already apparently leaked out one of the game's upcoming DLC fighters which now ties in a bit to two other recent revelations.
A modder going by the name thethiny dug through Mortal Kombat 11's files following its most recent update where a specific line of code reportedly reveals how many character slots are still left open after Spawn.
Allegedly, these spots for fighters goes from cell 0–41 which suggests MK11 may have 11 more kombatants in development over at NetherRealm Studios considering Spawn was the game's 31st character.
Some of these could very well be placeholder spots though thethiny points out that Mortal Kombat X's number was accurate to the final roster selection from the beginning.
This would certainly leave NRS' newest fighting game with the most released DLC they've ever done up to this point considering Injustice 2 featured 10 while MKX ended up with eight additional post-launch characters.
We already know who probably at least three of them are given previouss Steam Database page as posted by Reddit user Delorean82 before the entry was deleted.
Aftermath Kollection, if it's truly coming, would likely consist of the base MK11 game plus all contents of the Kombat Pack given the timing of its addition — which would essentially replace the Premium Edition of the game now.
Mortal Kombat XL and Injustice 2: Legendary Edition served as their respective games' final compilations later in the titles' lifespans though coupled with theve released, so we're likely looking at one more year of content coming our way at the very least.
None of this regarding the roster size nor Aftermath Kollection have been confirmed by NRS or Warner Bros., however, so we should all still take this speculation with a grain of salt until we learn more about what's coming next to the highly successful fighting game.
Mortal Kombat 11 will see its first anniversary since launch in a little less than a month from now, so we'll likely be learning more about the title's future in the very near future.
